Hi folks, just a quick intro from my side...Im from Simon's Town, South Of the Equator in Africa. New to the yacht scene after a 20 year seagoing career in the South African Navy. Interests are anything that can be associated with the sea. Currently qualified as a Commercial Yachtmaster Offshore.

Kind Regards

Welcome aboard. Good to have you here amongst this very international community.

We look forward to your contributions to the Forums - from the "Fairest Cape of All".

Make yourself at home - the Windhoek Draughts are on "Nausikaa" this week.

Welcome Starrider.

As Lighthouse mentioned, the Windhoek's are on me. I got some Hansa too from Swakop and a keg or two of Castle as well. For an old SAN seadog, I might even be able to rustle up a "horses neck".

The gemsbok steaks will be on the braai in a little while so pull up a pew, grab your poison and work up an´healthy apetite by telling us about your experiences in the SAN.
