Just a quick hello from me (Gerhard) in Australia. I'm a fairly recently converted yachtie and own a 25 year old IOR 3/4 tonner designed by Dick Carter.

I've recently sailed her from Sydney to Airlie Beach in Queensland - what a great trip (www.svsunnyspells.com)!

I'm day-dreaming about the return trip - better than working... Also nosing around on blogs and forums for good anchorages in the Whitsundays and on the outer Great Barrier Reef - if any one's got good suggestions it would be appreciated!

Fair winds...

Welcome aboard!

Pull up a chair, grab a tankard (the first one is on the house) and swap yarns with the crew.

It is good to have you here.

Hi Gerhard,

True the Whitsundays are magic - if you don't have the book in your collection - check out this LINK

When I cruised there, it was on a 'Rent a Boat', but were restricted in where we go and what we could do. But it was a really good place to sail.
