I just signed in for the first time and wish to introduce myself. I have had some sort of boat in my hands since a teenager and have at 66 decided its time to buy a sailboat. Got the bug when I saw a sailboat race a couple of weeks ago and they were hitting 50knts! I've always gotten a kick out of sailboats cause they sail in the bay and when offshore I most often seem to see them putting along sails bagged, is that the right term? Anyway, its time for me to learn what its all about.

50knts....kinda like science fiction warp drive but the diference being the 50 is real. wonder how long before we see cruiseing sailboats able to hit 20,30?/
