Introduction
To introduce myself, - well, I put 'land lubber' as my home port, because its many years since I did any serious sailing - spending hours of my young life sailing with my dad along the Essex (UK) coast - but the sea is still in my blood, and boatyards still hold a special attraction for me.
I have joined this forum, as spokesperson for the group of friends who are concerned about one of their number, Eddie Anker (see post in Overdue Vessels section) and it was with Eddie that I last took to the water (off northern Spain) shortly before he started his long voyage back to New Zealand. A day to remember, a day I remembered my dad, and a day to make me realise that I haven't quite swallowed the anchor yet, and could easily be tempted back, if only my husband was a boating type. (He's not)
I think I shall enjoy 'keeping an eye' on some of the rest of you though, (allbeit with a little envy!) on your travels.
There is no law that says you must pay tax on itemised moments of pleasure.
cheers all.
