Thank you for such a comforting place to come to and read people's questions and all the support that is very evident in this board. I have looked at quite a few different forums in the last few months trying to find one that fit the lifestyle my wife and I are embracing and hands down this one is the winner. The questions are honest, the answers are informative and the overall mood is supportive. My wife and I bought a 1982 28' Robert Bruce spray sailboat in November '06 and have been living aboard her while we finish school this semester. We are based out of Northern California among the gorgeous mountains and redwoods up here. Our boat's name is Velella and we are planning to head to Baja in September '08. In between now and then we want to get her ready for long term cruising and this board has been helping us soooooo much. You guys are friggin awesome and I look forward to perusing further wisdom evident in these pages and picking all of your combined knowledge for answers to our many questions. Be well and thank you for the encouragement.

George and Deb Wood

George a Deb

A hearty welcome aboard.

Sounds like a great boat you have. Ask as many questions as you have and we'll all try to assist if we can. Remember, no question is not worth asking and the information helps so many who visit here.

Enjoy your stay and good luck with your plans.

Welcome aboard!

Lori and I live up here in San Fran area, so we aren't too far away. We keep our boat in Long Beach and plan to be heading South in October 08 with the HaHa.

Hope to see ya there!
