My memories from your part of the world include a lobsterfest at the Wooden Boat School in Brooklin, Maine - at the end of very good course.

Which reminds me of the boat heritage of that part of North America's seaboard - where there are so many places to see the very best sailboats. Not many catamarans - those to be found in warmer waters.

Keep in touch with your plans.

The choice of monohull or catamaran is entirely personal. I am a monohull guys, I do not like the motion of catamaran. On the other hand, cats are incredibly spacious. Find an excuse to sail one of each. After that there are lots of other considerations, mostly personal as well.

Welcome aboard!

Cat' or Mono? Your choice... Most decisions relative to boating are personal preferance. They all have good and bad traits. I have monohulls and my best friend has a cat', and we are often on each others vessel.

We often end up with something we were not even looking for...

Good Luck,

David
