My name is Paul Hebert. I am currently living in Nairobi, Kenya and looking to do some ocean sailing for the next few month, short trips off the coast of Kenya. In May, I am looking to crew on a yacht crossing the Atlantic from East to West if possible. I am a fairly experienced sailor, but not with very much Ocean sailing time. I have been a boat owner, Columbia 29 on the Chesapeake Bay for 5 years and sailing on a 22 foot small sloop on Lake Leman in Switzerland for 6 years. I have crewed in the Carribean for 2 weeks on a 43 foot sloop. I am 62, but very fit and young for the age. Permanent home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Avid Skier, hiker, tennis, golf, mountain biking, scuba diving and sailing. Presently, working as a consultant on humanitarian and development projects. Formally with the UN Humanitarian Office in Ethiopia, Kenya and Eastern Europe and Switzerland.

Would like to interact with members.

Paul

Welcome aboard Paul. It is good to have you with us. I heard that "Lighthouse" is offering the beers today. Maybe he will even light the braai (BBQ) so you can taste some kudu or springbok?

Keep us up to date with your sailing adventures!

Welcome aboard Paul - sorry, I only have Castle beers.

I suggest you make a post in the Crewfinder section as owners/skippers will not be looking in this section for crew.

Good luck.

G'Day Paul,

Welcome. I'd take advantage of Lighthouse offer of beers - it's rare he extends that to existing site users let alone new members.

Good luck on the passage plan - there are lots of crew seeking type sites on the web and I'm sure you'll find your spot.

JOHN
