The internet is such a wealth of information, some you can believe, some you have to take with a grain of salt, others you can run through "Snopes" I am from Alberta, Canada and will be 52 years old next month. My wife and I and our 17 yr old boy and just turned 12 yr old daughter have bought a Beneteau 343 last year and have it in charter service with "Island Cruising" based in Sidney on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We have been chartering out at the west coast of B.C. for the last six years now and do plan on retiring out there in about 5 years. I have been watching the various "Crew Wanted" pages and wish I was 35 years younger, or at least turning 19 and finishing up my 6 years in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp Cayuga in Wainwright, but you cant turn the clock back. In July we are chartering a 38' Bavaria with the same company and sort of looking for company for my 12 year old for that week. Preferably a mother daughter team as right now my wife is the only other female. There is another 50 year old male that is coming along as well. I know this is the interductory page and I will post it where it belongs but I just thought I would mention it as well. I am looking forward to being part of this forum. It looks like it is well run and of an upbeat nature. Thanks for the great job that you are doing with it.

Gord

Welcome aboard Gord - grab a tankard and settle in amongst this friendly crew. Good to have you here.

Do post a message on the crewfinder as well.

Enjoy!
