hello to all.my name is gavin 27 male in syndey.i have long dreamed of buying a boat and setting sail.i did grow up around the water and yet i have very little knowledge of it.my grand plan is to sell it all,buy a boat and foatting up the coast.i hope to find someone willing to come along and teach my as we go.i know it sounds like a pipe dream but my heart is set on it,so i'll see how i go.i look foward to chatting with you all.any and all comments will help cheers

Have you already done some sailing? If not, I hope you've access to a local yacht club or marina with lessons? Else, you can also check out the crew wanted ads here on the Cruiser Log as sometimes folks will take on crew with very little experience.

We can certainly act as your online buddy system as you get going. We'll look forward to hearing about your new adventures in sailing!
