Hi everyone!

Such a great forum, so well managed and beautifully done.

I'm a complete newbie, fresh as a garden pea and am on my way to Saint Martin. Current location; Med. Really like to get in touch with people who are planning to cross to the Caribbeans anytime soon and looking for some deckhands (i got 2 ;-). apart of not having lots of sea hours I'm a hard worker, great cook, play music (I'm 33 EU nationality male) who traveled alot (I lived in Southern Africa for 8 years). Any tip would be appreciated!

One place to pick up a crew position would be at the jump off for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. The ARC departs from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and crosses to Rodney Bay, St.Lucia on 21 November, 2010. Or look around Gibraltar, France, etc. in the Med. Here's the web site, Atlantic Rally For Cruisers

Please do your research regarding your own visa status before you approach a boat. You need to be sure you have the correct papers to enter a country before you leave, otherwise you could penalize the entire boat should you need a visa and don't have one.

Good luck.

In 1986 we went cruising for a few years. After 20 years and 50+ countries and several oceans, we are STILL "cruising for a few years".
