I have been absent from the forum for about 18 months or so due to things beyond my control, so even as a retired mod I figured that I would reintroduce myself.
I am a long time sailor / fisherman that has been on dry land for many a year and put in an offer on a 40 ft Admiral about 18 months ago, only to have it bought out from under me and then have my finances collapse due to the US stock market. Well things are looking up somewhat and today I put in an offer on a 40 ft Leopard Catamaran (owners Version) and though the paying cash for it option no longer exists, and the the ability to get boat loans seems near impossible for all but the very wealthy I am cautiously optimistic.
Plans have changed and now we intend to leave the Cat in the Charter fleet for a year and then sail her in the Caribbean for a and head out further should all the ducks fall in line.
Hopefully I will be able to contribute to this forum in the Multihull section, as well as other sections as I previously did.
I look forward to chatting with you all again.
