Tetrapak- Views Please.

We have started using tetrapak tomatoes and have found them to be in better condition than can (these are either chopped or crushed tomatoes). We also get our juice and goats milk in tetrapak as it is easier to store and also easier to collapse for storage until we can get it to a recycling point. Just wondering on views for it and any experience using it on board full time? The nice thing is they usually are cheaper than canned and come from the same factory in Italy as the can without the darkening that the metal can gives them. So just interested in others views.

I love tetrapak tomatoes. You're right that it's easier to store, and I think that the tomatoes are fresher and tastier. No opinion on milk since I don't drink it or use it. I carry powdered whole milk for use in cooking. Even better than tetrapak milk, IMO.

We have been delighted with tetrapaks. There is an excellent selection of soups, sauces, vegetables and so on in the supermarkets in Mexico, from international suppliers such as Knorr and Campbells, as well as the local brands. They store wonderfully, are simple to open and in our estimation better than canned. We plan on stocking-up heavily at Costco, Soriana and so on in Acapulco in a week or so before we head to the Galapagos and onward to Chile.
