Deva is a Parallax 11.6 sailing catamaran, custom built in Australia by OSTAC, based on a performance hull design by Robin Chamberlin. Her design brief was for family cruising and racing in Queensland's Great Barrier Reef.
We bought her in 1994, made some upgrades, and have sailed her all over the world, covering 25,000 nm. Though lacking standing headroom, she is comfortable, fast, strong, seaworthy and safe. For us she has been an excellent long-range cruiser.
Composite sandwich construction, Divinycell core vacuum-bagged with Triaxial and Biaxial composites, she is very strong and very light, weighing just 3700 kg with sails, anchors, and racing payload.
We recently sailed her 2200 miles from Brazil to Antigua, and she is in the Caribbean ready for her next adventure. Delivery available.
