So, in answer to the oft uttered landlubbers question, "What's a hawse pipe?" We offer the simple answer...."Ask a Haw"!

Items are still for sale. Seller is in the USA and not Marengo, Victoria.

Default Confusion

Sorry about the confusion. Didn't know there was a Marengo in Australia. Learn something every day:-)

Actually it seems to be a fairly common name for a town. There's one in Illinois, Ohio, Alabama, Iowa and Indiana ... all probably named after the Marengo Plain in Italy, site of the famous Napoleonic battle of June 14, 1800.

There's also a Cuban dance of that name (that's Cuba the country, not Cuba, IL or Cuba, OH) probably made popular in the little town of Marengo just southeast of Havana.

More useless information. :-)

Your geographical knowledge is better than mine. I knew about Napoleon's victory in Italy but not all the other Marengos in the USA nor the one in Australia. Well done.
