here are some of my standard web sites for weather information in Australia:
Bureau of Meteorology -
Tide Predictions
Bureau of Meteorology -
Weather and Warnings
www.seabreeze.com.au - A funky site that gives graphic presentations of:
- the predicted wind direction & strength
- wave height & direction
- tides and moon phases
hour by hour for the coming 7 days.
eg
Sunshine Coast (N of Brisbane).
Designed for windsurfers and kite surfers, but who cares.
Bureau of Meteorology -
Climate averages (eg average temperatures, wind rose for each month) for hundreds of locations. eg
Hamilton Island near the Great Barrier Reef.
Bureau of Meteorology "
BlueLink" - ocean currents and ocean temperatures around Australia
It covers all the coast around Australia, plus Australian territories (Norfolk Island, Cocos & Keeling Islands, etc).
The area covered extends from the Solomon Islands to Java in Indonesia.
Of course, none of these replace a professional weather routing service for planning off shore passages.
Hope the weather is kind to you.
