Last year I sailed to SanFrancisco from Key West during hurricane season with very few stops. This year I am sailing back to Key West during hurricane season and am looking for information on places to stop or good anchorages. My stops last year was Bocas Del Toro, Colon, Balboa, Acapolco, SantaBarbara.

There's a Sam's Club to reprovision in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

A fuel dock at one of the most southern ports in Mexico on the west coast....started with a 'Z' maybe???....you could clear in/out here too.....I'll look in my passport to see if the name of the town was there if you want it. You could pull the boat right up to it. Must of been for fishing/military boats as we did not see any yacht activity. Brand new at the time and much cheaper and more convenient then paying the local dad-n-son team to jerry jug it for you.

You could get fuel in Costa Rica at a new maina without having to check in....as long as you fueled up and left. Damn if I can recall the name, but I'd try looking at a chart for you if you ask....

San Blas Islands for sure!

There are heaps of other nice spots, but you'll figure that out it you play around a bit.

best - J
