Motoring up Wisconsin River

Hello,

I am currently docked in Pepin, WI and I would like to move my boat to Sauk City. I have family down there as well as property and I have a place I can dock it since I do not believe there is a marina.

Problem is, not sure I can sail or motor up the Wisconsin river. From what I can tell with the USGS river data it looks like its do able until Muscoda. It says it gets down to 4-5 feet at stage. My draft is 4 feet. Its a 78 catalina 27".

Has anyone done it?

I know in Sauk city, there is a hydroelectric dam but my dock is before that so that isn't an issue.

Just curious if I can even make it up there. Please share any advice you have! Thank you in advance!

Welcome aboard. I don't know if there are many folks here with local knowledge for you. I'd suggest that you contact local boating clubs near you. Rivers are tricky and I know nothing of your river. Good luck
