Just for the information of anyone entering or leaving the Mediterranean via the Gibraltar strait. A new Spanish marina has opened at Lalinea ( 4th August) and at present has many available berths for both short and long term stays. Anchoring is ( or was in late June when I was there) still permitted in Lalinea Bay. It can at times be difficult to obtain a berth at short notice at one of the Gibraltar marinas I have experienced, so Lalinea offers a possible alternative to folk bound through the Straits.

Yes, sorry folks. Best I can do is a very helpful English speaking Spanish lady named Rocio Corrales on 0034 690339636. It's called Marina Alcaidesa I believe, and it's website is hiding in this daft computer somewhere but I haven't learned how to 'make links' so you'll have to hunt it down..
