You know, I've just stopped reading those "lost" articles. Too much of a bummer. OTOH, this one's a gold mine--hopefully someone will find and bring this boat back home. Unlikely though it is. I am amazed that the boat wasn't scuttled as it is very much a hazard to navigation. In the spring of 2014, the
SV Rebel Heart was about 900 miles off Mexico (SW of the tip of Baja as I recall) when they were rescued. Even though there were sailors ready, willing, and able to go fetch the boat, it was scuttled because of the hazard to navigation that it posed. Sad, sad situation. I do wonder what is different about the Apster?
