Hello...

Does anybody know anything about this boat :

She apparently disappeared from Concord Marina (Porlamar, Isla Margarita, Venezuela) a few months ago.

Does anybody knows where she is now ?

( Cumana ? )

As there are more than one Sailing Yacht called Arrayan built by Abeking and Ramussen -

could you confirm that this Arrayan is the 87ft 9" model.

At the same time could you supply more details - what flag is she flying, what is her port of registry? ie is this a police matter ? an insurance matter ? etc ????????

Surely the marina knows exactly what date the boat left the marina?

I am talking about the first one, built by Trehard in France (I participated to her construction) in 1985. Several owners and a few years later, she was taken into a financial mess in Margarita island, and hold by local authorities awaiting trials and trials … To make sure nobody would take her away one night, she was purposely grounded on a beach near concorde marina in Porlamar, Margarita island (venezuela). This was easy because although she is 90 feet long, her full centerboard allows a draft of 1.35 meters only !

She stayed 6-7 years at this same place.

This is what I suddenly and very recently discovered by seeing the terrible picture on the internet. Fishing for fresher news, I then discovered she just disappeared from that beach 2 months ago ! Some rumors said she was sold (by whom, to whom !?) and towed to Cumana (Venezuela).

My only interest is now to make sure this nice boat will not suffer anymore, and this is why I am willing to trace her.

Living at 6000 Kms from Venezuela, I would appreciate to receive any information from people sailing in those areas !
