The Germany page on the World Cruising and Sailing Wiki (free, online, world cruising guide) needs you to add/edit/contribute the information that you can to assist all the other cruisers around the world that are following in your wake. Help to build a great cruising resource - sharing information in the true cruiser's spirit.

Well, someone has to start.

With hopefully some help of other sailors that are familiar to the german North Sea and Baltic Sea region I'd like to pass on some info on the german coastlines. They are not as spectacular and not as long as the fantastic coast lines of the neighbouring scandinavian countries, but you'll see some of it on your way to Scandinavia and back via the Kiel-Canal. Tricky sailing grounds like the tidal swept North Sea, the Elbe esturay, where you should stick to some navigational and weather rules, the breath-taking Kiel-Canal where the big commercial ships pass within 30 ft besides you and the easy sailing along the baltic sea shore...

Just give some time to let it grow or help to speed up things!

Uwe
