The Greece Cruising Guide is now a VERY useful resource.
However, please add whatever information that you can and keep it up to date.

Hello,
I have a question. I have bought a Grabner Happy Cat Racing Inflatable Catamaran and I intend to sail it in Thassos Island. The boat is 4.3m long and powered only by wind.
I came from Romania, where no permit in required in order to sail coastal this kind of boat (under 7m).
Can anyone tell me if I need any kind of permit to coastal sail my boat in Thassos? I do not intend to go far, but very close to the shore as I am sailing with my family for fun.
I posted the same question in another topic (thassos) just in order to obtain a quick answer.
Thank you,
Ionut Stan

Sorry I did not see your question before Ionut Stan.
I do not believe you need any special permit for an inflatable small boat.

Thank you for your answer. I was already in Thassos in July and it was very nice with the sailboat. The winds were moderate, the water warm and clear, very nice. Good sailing.
Nobody asked me for any permit and I was pretty far from the shore (~ 6 marine miles away).
Thank you,
Ionut

I have now categorized all the Greek Islands on our Wiki - HERE.
Be sure to look at the island of LEROS page to really wet your appetite for cruising the islands.
