Installing a rigid boom Vang on a freedom 30
Trillium is a 1987 Freedom 30 yacht without a rigid boom vang. I would like to reinstall an existing Hall rigid boom vang. This vang was previously installed, and removed prior to my buying Trillium. The vang was attached directly to the carbon fiber mast. When removed, by a previous owner, the holes in the mast were filled, and the lazy jacks were left to hold up the boom and sail when the sail was down. There is no topping lift.
I know Freedom designed a collar to use on the mast to attach the rigid boom vang. I've seen such a collar on a Freedom 35.
I would like to buy or otherwise obtain the collar design for the Freedom 30, or simply buy the collar. I have come up with a two piece
design for such a collar, but if available, would rather use the Freedom design. Does anyone have any information?
