I swear it. We use hand pumps for freshwater but because we have a washer/dryer aboard, it must have it's own pressure water pump. Resident pump behind the washer. It was leaking through a torn membrane into the switch and had corroded the switch. Replaced the switch and membrane. Reinstalled the pump. I am running a load of laundry to assure its all working fine. During the wash load, the pump keeps coming on. Hummm. Looking everywhere for the leak. Nada. Then just noticed that a 5 gallon bucket sitting nearby that we'd used to drain the system still had the hose in it--and the hose wasn't turned all the way off. The bucket was just-almost-yep-overflowing at that moment. Daaaa....
The boat is smarter than us. yep.
Seems the pump doesn't leak.
