Default beware Menorca harbour charges

Charges for a 14 meter sailboat are euros 150 a night with water and electricity
extra...no showers or toilets

I take it this is in Port Mahon. Is this tied up at the dock or just dropping anchor?

This is ringing a bell. I've heard that the seasonal quay/dock rates are crazy high there. I don't know what period of time the high season is, though.

Default no anchoring in mahon

on arriving in mahon one is greeted by a police boat with a blue flashing light
directing visiting yachts to the moorings. Anchoring is prohibited ...the harbour charges are outrageous

I´m not sure it´s helpful for you, but I saw your posting and I live at the sea front in Ciutadella. Many boats part in front of my house. Not in the actual port. I doubt there is any charge for that. I´ve seen up to 30 boats there at a time at the busiest part of the season (Sant Joan). This is between the new commercial port and the small Castel Sant Nicolau. They have reconfigured the port in Ciutadella in the past year, there is space for many more boats, but I do not know the charges.
