Winmor (virtual Tnc) Software For Winlink 2000 In Beta Testing.

Hi All,

If you need to email very inexpensively from the boat, and don't have a Pactor 3 TNC for Winlink 2000 or Sailmail HF SSB email, then do go and read this:

Beta testing for the Winmore (Virtual TNC) protocol software has been running for about 3 weeks now, and looks VERY promising.

Pretty soon you will be able to send and receive emails from the High Seas or some little remote cove, into the Winlink 2000 system for pennies on the dollar at greater than Pactor 2 speeds. - All from only your laptop's soundcard. (NO TNC needed.)

It works on my laptop, and will soon be a great backup to the TNC.

"Hamsailor", when there is a DIRECT link to the software please post it here. In the meantime, please open discussion here with an explanation about what it is all about. Our cruising members do not have the time (or inclination) to go and register on other forums and Yahoo Groups, etc.
