Thumbs up

Hello All!

Please, anyone that can help identify my winches. I have 7 of these winches installed on my boat. They vary in size and are single, two and three speed models. They have a very unusual handle, a hex/nut is on top of each winch in which the handle slides "over". The 2 and 3 speed models have a twist type gear selector inside the hex/nut so you can change gears without removing the handle. There is a logo on the handle that I have yet to identify. I only have 1 good handle for all of them so I need a feww spares. I'd hate to go through the trouble to fab them if I can find some to buy. A regular 1 9/16" socket will work for me in an emergency, that is the size of the "drive hex/nut".

Any info would be appreciated, Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

It is noted that winch handle issue remains? Brought forward from the Tavern forum.

Was the company RigRite (www.RigRite.com) not able to assist ?

Richard.

Hi again Richard,

Yes, this is the same winch issue forward from the Tavern. I tried rigrite.com to no avail. I don't know why, but the site won't come up. Out of business? Maybe temporarily offline? I'll keep trying, I did a Google search for them and allot of info came up on them but when I clicked on a choice, my browser came back "unavailable". I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Steve

Hi,

Click on this URL to Rig Rite Sailboat Hardware

These people amongst all others should be able to help - you will need to send all your Pictures.

From the Logo picture - that appears to wash out Merriman whose logo was a 'Trident'

Richard

PS. I have tried the above URL - it works
