Default Drip-less my A$$

I was out for a few day when I noticed my bilge pump was cycling. My shaft seal was leaking a lot, not just drips so I guess they can still claim that it doesn't drip.

Getting a 68 year old, 240 pound body to the seal on a 28 foot boat isn't easy. Can it get any worse? Well, just add explosive diarrhea.

Both leaks eventually contained.

Hi Tom, I wonder if you recently had the boat out of the water. The only time I have had leaks has been under that circumstance. A little air in the 'bellows' and it leaks like a sieve. Glad it's all cleared up.

I know you have sorted your problem, but this link should be of help to those who have a similar problem:
