The new torlon ones everyone raves about suck if you ask me. They turn into eggs after awhile and can't handle any dirt elements etc. On my buddies jeaneau they actually blew out of the main sheet track cars. My question is, does anyone know where I can purchase these older lewmar bearings for my mainsheet car. I had to use 2 to rebuild 6 of the original 8. ( 4 per side). Any info????? You might wish to look at the spec on each component to make sure the bearings are rated similarly. And, if not, you'll know which component will fail.

Places here on the West Coast of the US that might be able to get what you need include
Svendsens Boat Works in the SF Bay CA area. They have a rigging shop as well as lots of other stuff.

Sailing Supply in the SD, CA area. They are part of the Marine Exchange
