About Me:
Hello everyone! My name is Luca, and I'm taking a sabbatical from my work in sustainability. What better way to spend it than gaining sea sailing experience? Growing up on Lake Como, I sailed various skiff boats and now want to explore sailing as a means of travel, not just sport.
I’m passionate about wind and water sports like kitesurfing, diving, surfing, and kayaking. Although the sea differs from a lake, I have a solid understanding of weather patterns from years spent skitouring, hiking, climbing, and biking in the mountains. I’ve been living in Amsterdam for the past three years and am excited to embrace this new challenge.
I'm not prone to seasickness, I learn quickly, and I can hold my own in the kitchen. With a heart for adventure, I've traveled independently on several backpacking trips. I speak fluent English, Italian, and Spanish, with a basic understanding of German. My Dutch is still a work in progress!
