My vessel Phantom 'D' is currently in the BVI's and I'm in Canada for the summer.

I'm looking for a handy Mate to help with simple repairs, such as, electrical and electronic wiring, connecting HF/VHF DSC Radios to an E-120 Display, varnishing and antifouling, installing new speakers and a second loudhailer horn, new flag halyards, spreader lights, new winches & clutches, windlass lubrication, etc.

I'm a licensed Marine Engineer, Offshore Yachtmaster, Certified Navigator and a HAM and know how to execute the workload.

I need a keen energetic Mate to assist for about 3 weeks on the Hard in Virgin Gorda prior to cruising down Island to Venezuela where I plan to lay-up Phantom for the summer of 2009.

I'll pay all boat expenses, including food aboard while working on the Hard. Once cruising, a contribution to food would be appreciated, other expenses to my account. Personal shore expenses and travel costs to Phantom are to the Mate's account.

The assignment commences with my return to Virgin Gorda 15th September, 2008 and ends anytime at the Mate's option and our compatibility up until Mid April, 2009.

No alcohol while underway, no drugs anytime. I smoke!

Respond by email with photo and profile.

Cheers,

Alan.

Hey there, I was wondering how much experience you needed from your crew, having only sailed Lasers I may not be very experienced but am eager to learn.

Hi! Walt:

Willingness to learn is fine and some capability in the use of hand tools.

You have not completed your profile, so not possible to assess your suitability?

look forward to your response.

Cheers,

Alan.

In the 'V'-berth aboard Phantom. I have the aft cabin. There is power available for cooking and hot water.

There are showers and bathrooms in the yard.

Hi Alan, my name is Dylan Maloney and im interested in joining you for the winter. I would love the expirience of learning the upkeep and repair work. I have been traveling south america for the last 6 months and am back at home base recharging my batteries for a long trip. I have no real expirience on the open sea, though when i was younger, I spent a week in the florida keys on a 40' sloop. I have been sailing smaller boats for most of my life on lakes, so im familiar with the logistics of sailing and am very eager to learn life on the sea. I hate to advertise myself, but I figure I should tell you a bit about me. I play music, and love to cook, and i share living space well. My email is maloney.dylan@gmail.com. Write me and we can talk about details if you are interested.

Dylan
