Default change 7... wait... 9... crap i lost count

Nothing solid yet but looks like we may be returning to the sea sooner than planned.... getting started building has proven awekward at best since Debs is usually holding the baby (Finn) and can't lend a hand... so we took a look just for craps and Snickers and what do you know. An Allied Mistress for sale in our price range... sounds like she has been well kept.
We are under offer pending my inspecton....
works out nicely. The allies mistress was actually based our custom plans on... but ours had bilge keels to sit down on... with the bay building at home seems unviable... it was a nice thought but without her free labor too pricey... and not nearly as fun...

Any chance anyone here knows the boat? Nissum, on the hard in kingstown, RI

Pretty lucky, they only made about 60 of them. Early or late model?

Allied Mistress

she's an 80
.... and the owner has done a lot of upgrades that I would have wanted to do myself... like moving the chainplates outboard and installing tongue and groove floors and walls... I'm optimistic that she may well be the realization of a dream... we didn't think we would find one in our price range in good condition (which was why we opted to build)... I guess the economy is on our side at the moment. people are selling right when we are looking to buy and bug out... also in part to get away from the economy.
