Okay,

We are a family of five that are seriously looking in to going the cruising route and looking at our different skills and interests and how they can be applied to make this happen if we are able to bring it to reality (life throws curve balls, not always easy to deal with ones either). So what we are looking at are good sources for home schooling that are in more than one language if possible (we Speak Read and Write English [US & British], Italian and can read Latin and sort out Spanish and French). As such teaching the kids to know more than one language is something we have been working on in the home since birth.

I have a degree in Chiropractic from the US (not practicing at present due to health issues [working on overcoming those]) and have a very varied background. My wife is very musically inclined (plays numerous instruments) and enjoys cooking and learning new things in life. We have lived in the US (Texas, Michigan) England (including almost a year in London), Southern Italy, Scotland. So shopping local and using chain stores only when they have benefit is something we already know. By the way if you are ever near the Bari, Molfetta area (Molfetta is about 20km North of Bari Italy); there is a small town of Giovinnazo that has a wonderful market on Friday's (though be careful on housewares as they can be more expensive than some of the other stores) and they also have a really great sea food market during the week though Monday can be a low day some times.

Getting back to the question at hand.

1) What resources has families that are on this site used?

2) What sites besides this one are good for family groups able to find good information on what to expect from different sources

3) Does anyone know by personal or trusted reference any schools that we could use to help increase the skills level (me) or help test the interest and add to skill levels in sailing (the wife).

4) Anyone with experience of dealing with more than one child please give information on ideas for dealing the extremely intelligent and inquisitive children.

Thanks and we keep marching forward to see what will be.

Fair Wind to all and happy New Year.

Michael
