Default Sail to Power...help!

We sold the 42" sailboat and now want to get back into boating but with a motor yacht. We'll be going from Tampa to local Bay and Gulf destinations with one longer trip a year to the Bahamas, Keys or Dry Tortugas. Would a Carver 36-40 be comfortable for this? All suggestions, recommendations, comments re: 36 to 42' power boats are welcome. Thanks.

We recently visited the St Petes Boat show and as we eventually will probably make the change to a powerboat (still a way off) we looked at power boats with interest. The smallest of the bigger boats which we fell in love with was the American Tugs 365. Very liveable and well capable of Carib and West coast cruising..and a probable joy on the ICW.

We also liked the Ranger Tugs line.
PS. We loved Tampa but were a bit pi**ed off when we got a $40 parking fine in Ybor City. I could easily livve in St Petersburg. Wonderful place..great sailing club.
Cheers.

I was in Tampa for a week about 20 years ago. Awesome place.
