Default Stolen Anchor

It was a good thing I had a surveillance cam.

Great pic of a fair dinkum sailor/determined anchor thief.
I confess I have never felt the need to dive on my anchor. The only times I have ever had problems setting the anchor were in heavy sea grass and in a rocky bottom off Thursday Island's Engineers Wharf.
In the first instance, I swapped my CQR for an admiralty and sat quietly at anchor for two days (Portland Roads FNQ) and on the second occasion, I moved to a muddy bottom a mile distant from the wharf (Across the bar to Horn Island).
However, I applaud the sailor in your pic for both her determination and her choice of apparel. She is obviously a talented sailor who is enjoying life.

Auzzee Imma let you finish but after you finish Imma trollin' you for wiki updates on the Torres Strait islands. I built some pages there and put in the info that I had, and I'm hoping to spend a week or two in Cairns this year with a lady that spent a couple of months over there this summer, but details of things about muddy and rocky bottoms off Thursday Island is just the sort of stuff we need in the pages now.

Back to your regularly scheduled anchor watches folks.

Del,

Are you cruising FNQ on your way to Singapore or is that a flying trip? Reason I ask is that I had been thinking of driving north this year, might be able to meet up if you're there at the same time. When are you planning to be in Cairns?

Later this year or maybe after the cyclone season next year -- I'll keep you updated. Work won't let me get away in the sort term and I have this little wedding thing to sort out as well.
