For existing members (before 31/12/09) with a predetermined number of posts. The single new post/reply bumps their status to "Full Member" so that they can make posts to the crewfinders.

You now show as: "Group: Full Member" (L/H of post) under the Username.
It is only for "Members" to progress to "Full Member" - and will only work if they have the prescribed number of posts - i.e. active, general members.
It also works if a post/reply is made anywhere else on the forums (since 1 January).
NOTE: This ONLY effects access to the crewfinder sections of the forums. The crewfinders can only be used (posts/replies) by "Full Members".

Yes - We'd like to apply for the 'promotion'  Only please please can we choose something other than tupperware for our prize? I swear that after our Bluewater - we've got enough containers and matching lids piled under, around, in and (I'll get the ladder out and check) probably on top of our house to fuel a 'Left-overs Cult' - these days the left over roast dinner sits in the fridge in multiple containers - one pea and carrot to each tub!

The continued abuse that the moderators receive from those that just will not follow the crewfinder "guidelines" is just not worth it anymore. Our moderators assist on a volunteer basis and do not deserve the constant abuse from the crewfinder posters (pushing things).
Unfortunately, it is a sad but necessary move - finally.

After experiencing a CG boarding to alegedly perform a safety inspection on an obviously chartered boat just a mile off Key west, my conclsuion is no guns on deck either fore or aft.
