As you can tell by my avatar I am a animal lover and especiialy Rottweilers. Rotties have been in my logos from my racing days, through being a professional golfer. BUT... buying a Catamaran, a Leopard Catamaran to boot, having a lgo that had a Rottie in it made little sense to me. Then after much soul searching for a boat name that had someting to do with a Leopard we finally agreed on AMUR " a rare breed of Snow Leopard" Link here. When last checked there were no more than 35 alive in the world. So what better than that sort of boat brand and name association.

Anyway I just received the artwork and wanted to share it with all on this site. Almost everyone that has a yacht has put serious thought into naming it so how about your story ...

The Cat is to go on the spinaker and the name on the stern and port and starboard bow.

Very cool artwork! Who was the artist?

You could have called your boat a "Dogamaran"

Artist is John Thow Link here He has done the designs for the Blue Angels, USS Nimitz and did the nose work on the B25J called "Executive Sweet" amongst other things. As you can imagine, his work does not come cheap, but he has done all my artwork in the past.

I like it " DOGAMARAN " now why did I not think of that. You are a sick puppy .... (LOL)

A NEW "Nose Job"

When I was a child, say 12 years old, I was sleeping on a beach in Mexico. In the night a coyote came over to lick the caramel apple residue off my face. You never forget your first kiss...

So what did ya end up naming the boat? Lickety Spit?

Marianne. After the coyote. The sad end of the story is that after a few months we drifted apart.

OH, that's a bad, bad joke -- please tell me that's not really their dingy boat name?
