Anyone had any experience with PANTAENIUS yacht insurance for off-shore

good or bad.

They have a good name in the UK. I don't have any direct experience, but well regarded.

The unsurance company Â* Â* PANTAENIUSÂ* Â* has been on the german marked since 1899 and expanded into the european marked some time ago.

They grew up with insuring yachts and they know about yachts (the head(s) of the company are experienced and successfull sailors themselves) and the realistic risks of yachting.Â*

I have been there for many years with different boats, but personally was not in need to claim any loss or damage but I know out of the family (two more sailing yachts) and friends that claims were handled professionaly and fair.

I have my third party boat insurance with Panteanius, it's worldwide cover, easy to obtain and handled by professionals. From my perspective I can recommend them.

FYI they also offer health insurance for long-term sailors, underwritten by the Allianz group.
