Does anyone have any advice or suggestions with regard to spending winter 2008 in either Levkas Marina or Kalamata? All help appreciated

On the assumption from the topic title that you intend staying on board for the winter in either of these marinas , then on price Kalamata is only 2/3rds of what Levkas charges. Kalamata has better nightlife and local restaurants. Levkas has easier proximity to the mainland.

Its warmer in Tunisia - Turkey less restrictions.

Remember depending on what flag you carry, may determine length of stay etc..

Many thanks for info. We have just spent 2 winters in Turkey and feel it is time to move on. We are not ready for Tunisia yett as we are from South Africa. We sail under a Brit flag as I am British. Had heard Kalamata is nice but have been warned of "funny seas" off the Peloponnese. We sail a 34' motorboat.
