Default Sailmail with Pactor 1 ?

Since I don't have a Sailmail account, I can't experiment with Sailmail, although I do have quite some experience using Winlink2000 Ham Radio E-mail.

Can some one please post their experience using an inexpensive, used, Pactor 1 HF Modem (TNC) for Sailmail for us all, as a possible option to the very expensive SCS PTC II modems?

A Pactor 1 HF Modem (TNC) works great for text E-mail on Winlink.

See my other posts here on this topic.
