Server Move - Some Downtime Expected

We have at times been experiencing some loading speed problems on our web server. The Forums and the Cruising Wiki is being moved to a larger, faster server in the next few days and there will be some downtime during this event. We will endeavor to keep this downtime to a minimum. I will make a post here again when I have a better idea of exactly when this will happen.

We apologize for the inconvenience but it will make for a better Forum and Cruising Wiki experience, especially for those cruisers "out there" that struggle to even make a connection to the Net at times.

The server move may be undertaken within the next 12 hours. There will be a change in the server's IP so the new IP "migration" could take up to 10 hours. It may be difficult to connect to Cruiserlog during this period. Keep trying.

Can no longer Log In to to wiki pages keep getting, but obviously can Log into Forums

The Wiki software was upgraded - you now need to register separately on the Wiki (use your existing username).

There are a few glitches since the server move (mostly .php settings) such as forum file uploads, forum generated email and one or two things on the Wiki such as Multi-file uploads. Hopefully, all these "bugs" will be sorted out in the next 36 hours or so.

Forum email now working. Still busy on the "Uploads" not working issue.

The source of the problem as to why image uploads is not working has been traced - no image handling function on the new php installation on the new server. GD will be added at the start of our hosts working day tomorrow - about 10 hours from now.

This will also correct the problem on the Wiki.
