One crew wanted for cruise: Brisbane Australia-Louisiade Archipelago PNG-MacKay Australia; July 7 2012-Sept 26 2012. This is great cruising opportunity created by planned crewmember's unexpected family commitments. Experienced offshore skipper with well-equiped offshore boat. Respond by email to John

Default Australian Passage

I am 18 years old and I am currently finishing my first year of studies at the University of Plymouth, England. I am taking a BSc in Navigation and Maritime Science. With my sailing experiences I feel I would be an asset to your skipper/ crew team.

My sailing experiences include 7 years in the CYA's Learn to Sail programme, and then a summer as an instructor. I raced various boats including both dinghies and larger sailboats. By the end of June I will have logged approximately 3500 miles at sea including a passage from Plymouth, UK to Europa Point, Gibraltar. Through my university studies , I am well trained in passage planning and safety at sea. By the end of June I will have my STCW 95, RYA VHF Licence, RYA Power Boat level 2, and my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Shore based learning complete with all of the prerequisites complete to take the exam. In 2009 I started my own business called First Mate Nautical Detailing. I dealt with all the external maintenance issues with a range of keel boats. This allowed me to be quite confident in fibreglassing and yacht detailing.

I am extremely keen to do this cruise if the position is still available. Please contact me at macpherson.s@hotmail.com

Hope to hear!
