Here I can say something that is very good news though I have butterflies at the moment. I am getting back on the water today!! First time since dealing with the cancer and looking forward to it. It is only for a four hour sail on a friends 35 footer out on the Firth of Forth. But it is back on the water. That is a for me a big step in the right direction. What is even more positive is that the Admiral (my wonderful wife) is 100% supportive of it and looking at getting a bit of sailing in herself (even though she is in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy). Also the kids are wanting to go sailing (Marino blood runs true ) .

To everyone out on the water have a great day; to those working towards it, best luck and keep at it. Myself, I am going to enjoy sailing again today and getting that short seasickness over with (I end up spending about 20 minutes at the compression post with a cup of tea to get over it) and the wind is looking really nice.

God Bless and good winds to all,

Michael

Wonderful sailing in a 26ft Sloop (not 35 ft as I misunderstood before but still a very nice boat) out on the Firth of Forth and not a drop of rain on us. Though it rained a good bit around us. Sailed 14.8 miles passed three container ships under way and one docked LGP (Liquid Gas Petroleum). Saw five seals (one chased us for a bit) and enjoyed a nice light lunch meat pies sandwiches and coffee. Got back into handling lines (and really found out how much I need to rebuild the upper body strength after the cancer) and it was truly fun. Did not make a mess of it and looks like I will be invited back.

Now need to talk to a few other folks to get the wife sometime out on a boat some more and see how things go with health and business.

Thanks to the well wishes and not a bit of seasickness at all (which was really nice and made it all the more fun).

Michael
