I'm with Bedouin. Take the gamble and avoid medical insurance unless you have a pre-existing condition which is expected to interrupt your adventure. Instead spend some money on a good basic first aid course, then take instruction in administering medicine by syringe, visit a doctor and buy whatever medicines and surgical supplies he recommends for your intended voyage, ensure you have the means to communicate long distance with medical professionals...then bugger off toward the horizon with a smile on your face and an arm around your best mate.
