Hi all,

I am looking at buying a new,(to me) boat in the near future. I have come across an advert for the below boat that I really like but I am afraid I know nothing about the brand. I live in Australia so it would be nice to have some idea before deciding to fly half way round the world to look at a boat. I sent an email to the broker today to get additional information and more pics.

The idea of spending some time in Panama or Mexico sorting the boat out is appealing as is the trip back to Australia. I would need to add on import duties and tax when I arrive back here but to me it seems like a good price and well within my budget.

Any advice or information on Irwin 37's will be greatly appreciated' The details of this boat are below.

Thanks ... Lex

Thanks for the couple of messages I have received privately.

Seems the Irwin isnt a very good buy after all.

I am in Queensland and am looking for something between 37 and 43 foot, center cockpit aft cabin, up to about 50k.

Hi Mate,

Have a look at this....http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-327905897.htm

Halberg Rassy 382

I've sailed aboard her and she is tidy and well maintained, Cat 1 easy to obtain. OOps just noticed your budget 50 k but the way the Aussie dollar is going you'll be able to afford this next week!!

Thanks for the link ... really good boat but way out of my league. I am one of the common folk (laughs) who has a very limited budget but love my cruising and have learnt how to do okay and economically.

I dont mind doing a bit of work on whatever I end up getting... just as well cause there is always something to do on a boat. The right thing for me will come along in time i am sure.
