I came across a new word for me, usenet or usenet groups. Is this or can this be called a usenet group? It sure does look like one, to me, anyway. What do you say?

No, this is not a usenet group, it is a web-based forum. Usenet was very popular before the wide spread of the web. It is a newsfeed read by a special program. Now it has disintegrated to a lot of erotic trash.

Thanks for your reply. So usenet vs. web based forum is like ham radio vs. CB. Amateur radio is much refined. This forum is really nice compared to what usenet sites I investigated so far.
