I just retired back in October with a dream of owning my own sailboat, initially sailing along the east coast of the US and the Caribbean and who knows where. After a long search found a Tayana 42 cc in Roatan, Honduras that fit the bill nicely. This vessel was with out a doubt one of the best on the market. Well maintained and a spare parts catalogue that make you salivate. That Unfortunately, due to financial restrictions placed on my IRA and lack of being able to find necessary funding, have had to go to plan B. What is plan B, you ask? To find crew positions to gain more sea time and to further educate myself. Though I have sailed on and off most of my life and owned a McGregor 25 at one point, sailing it on the Chesapeake Bay for a number of years, I started working towards larger cruising boats. About ten years ago I took ASA courses necessary to become bare boat certified and have chartered in the Channel Islands of S. California. I now reside in Florida and it is my desire to get as many sailing opportunities and sea time as I can, in order to work on getting my 6 pack license.........My time is very flexible so if you need crew anywhere along the eastern seaboard of the US for a day, a week or more, please let me know. I am a willing, able handed person in good physical condition and a quick learner............Just give me a holler..........
