Just a quick note to intorduce myself. We currently live in Denver Colorado, USA - very well land-locked, but spend a good deal of time sailing the Bahamas and Caribbean.
We are working towards a goal of casting off for a full year starting in 7 years for a 1 year trip up and down the eastern seaboard of the US home-schooling our youngest daughters in American history. Three years following that we hope to cast off for good!
I am building a strong list of clients for my business that I can manage afloat. We are on track for now!
I will try to keep our frieds updated on this site with our progress through the many waves we have ahead of us. Any suggestions or advice will be acepted warmly.
Thanks,
Scott Jacob
Denver, Colorado

A hearty welcome aboard to you Scott - good to have you here amongst this friendly crew.
Hoping that everything goes to plan and that you will be full time cruising shortly. Please let us know how it all goes.
Make yourself at home - the wine is on "redbopeep" today.

WELCOME,
One year you say? I think curiousity will get to you, and you will find yourself sneaking across the Gulf stream to the east coast treasure.....The Bahamas.
There is so much to see on our coastlines, but soon those uncrowded white sandy beaches. Torquise waters, fishing, new sites, and other cruising families will make it hard to resist.......BEST WISHES on your schedule, and even making it sooner.......i2f

G'day Scott and can I add my welcome also.
It's always great to see such plans and even greater hearing later when they happen.
Be sure to keep us posted, and when you need good advice, the mob on here will provide.
Sail safe

I'm envious! Sounds like you're living the dream! Congratulations.
I was curious, what kind of client's do you work with? I'm in the creative field myself, and am hoping to be able to continue my graphic design/web design/tv producing from aboard. I have recently moved as to be closer to the Great Lakes, where I hope to get my SixPack done and get some crewing experience. I would imagine your work is involving Intellectual Property of somekind. I can think of few jobs involving clientele that would work offshore.
Good Luck to you,
Trane
