Please note, this is a WANTED ad.
I am trying to get hold of a Sailor R108 or 109 radio receiver. Does anyone have one for sale? If so please send me a message via the forum or answer this plea for help.
Aye

Thanks very much for your response and advice Richard. Very kind of you. However, it looks as if I have found an R109 in northern Holland in more or less mint condition. All I have to do now is agree on the price and get myself to Holand to pay and pick it up. Should not be a problem as I have to go to Belgium next week anyway and it is only a short hop from there.
Again,
Many thanks // Stephen

Hi Richard,
Thanks for you comments and questions
"looks in good nick" - I have not seen it yet but according to the guy selling it it is "as new" . It has not been to sea so no salt-air corrosion.
"What frequencies do you work ?" - It is only a receiver and covers the following frequencies:
LW 150 - 260 KHz
NW 250 - 430 KHz
MW 495 - 1610 KHz
SW 1600 - 4500 KHz
FM 88 - 108 MHz
"I have got a first class work on antennas by Cebic - which I can let you have on CD" - I will be very grateful for that. Thanks. I will send my address by the messenger function.
The radio is a beautiful piece of late 1960:s early 70:s (I think) kit. I already have an RT 144 VHF and so this R109 will match it very well. They are in keeping with the boat's age. The more modern pieces of electronic wizardry are more discreetly fitted in order to maintain the boat's sharacter. The R109 comes with the DF attachment (photo of an R108 with the DF).
The R109 has VHF and a digital readout which the R108 lacks.

Thank you very much for your offer. It was kind of you to respond.
However, I did find the radio I was looking for about four years ago.
Again, many thanks // Stephen
