Just looking to get a little advice. Doing a charter for 10 days in the BVI's in late May.

I would like you to recommend the top 8 places in your expereince that I need to see. Restaurants/Taverns would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance.

What type of Charter ? Power ? Sail ? Bareboat ? Crewed ? Where is your start point ? Where do you leave the boat ? What's your budget for restaurants and taverns.

Bareboat Sail out of Tortola, return to Tortola

10 Days.

Budget: Will probably eat out 3-4 times. If it is exceptional I don't care what it cost. I am on Vacation.

Nanny Cay has some nice shops and the prices are reasonable, also a decent cafe where you can get a traditional English breakfast. The bartenders at Peg Legs, also in Nanny Cay pour great drinks, $5 US for a GLASS of Gran Marnia.

If you are chartering out of the Moorings base there is a local chicken shack, Scottos, where you can get about 5 lbs of fried chicken for about $4 US. Trellis Bay, near the airport has a lot of artis shops prices aren't too bad and you can get the free ferry to Pussers on Marina Cay from there.

Full moon parties are the big thing in BVI with the Bomba Shack being one of the best.

Hi Duckwheat! There is so much to do in the bvi where do you even start? Who are you chartering with? What kind of avtivities are you wanting to do while there? (Fisihing, windsurfing, kayaking, wakeboarding? Do you have kids with you? - What kind of food do you all like? What kind of experience are you looking for? There is something for everyone in the BVI - a little more info from you and im sure can point you in the right direction!

Definitely go to Cooper Island, totally unspoiled and a very nice restaurant there, about 20 moorings so get there early.

Also go to the William Thornton its a boat / restaurant at Norman Island - very cool and great chicken wings!

Pussers - tavern on Tortola just off main street. very nice for lunch.

Virgin Gorda - The Baths and Devils Bay are incredible

The Dogs - 3 islands - great snorkeling and they sank an airplane there (purposely) which u can go in!

Salt Island

Peter Island is very smart - probs the nicest beach there is! but restaurant is v expensive.

Have fun!!!! it is incredible out there.

(hoping to go back for my gap year!)
